Julie Leyva-Sanchez joins Peoples Bank & Trust Consumer Department

Peoples Bank & Trust is proud to announce that Julie Leyva-Sanchez recently joined the bank as the new Assistant Vice President, Consumer Banking for the Arcola Branch. With an extensive background Leyva-Sanchez brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the bank’s customer service team.

John Gardner, President and CEO of Peoples Bank & Trust stated, “We are excited to bring someone with Julie’s experience to the bank. In this role, she will work directly with the branches CSRs and tellers as well as continue a deep commitment to customer satisfaction.”

Leyva-Sanchez joins Peoples Bank & Trust with nearly 18 years of experience in banking. She is also bilingual and looks forward to providing assistance as needed to the Hispanic community who bank with Peoples Bank & Trust. In addition to her vast banking experience, she is truly dedicated to the community including serving on the Arcola School Board and the Arcola Rec Sports Organization where she coaches t-ball and helps with concessions. She is also an active member of the Bilingual Parent Committee at the school.

Leyva-Sanchez commented, “I love being an active member in the community that has watched me grow up. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, and we are raising 4 children.” On the weekends she said she can be found with her family at a soccer field, baseball field or at a dance competition. She added, “We love traveling as a family. When we don’t have anything going on which is very rare, we love to cookout and have a weekend full of movies.”
