Peoples Bank & Trust has been chosen by the Illinois Bankers Association to receive a 2019 Community Service Award.

Peoples Bank & Trust has been chosen by the Illinois Bankers Association to receive a 2019 Community Service Award.

The Illinois Community Service Award is awarded annually by IBA and honors three Illinois financial institutions that go “above and beyond” in the area of Community Service. The award was presented on Monday, June 24 at the IBA Annual Conference in Austin, TX. Ashley Basso, VP, Consumer Banking and Jennifer Nagle, VP, Consumer Banking represented the Bank at the conference.

Peoples Bank & Trust encourages all their employees to be involved in projects in all their communities. Our employees donated over 5000 hours last year in after school programs for the local YMCA’s, United Way Officers, library boards, fair boards, 4H, soup kitchens, food pantries, economic development, habitat for humanity, safe deposit boxes for nursing homes, Smart Buddy programs, Chamber of Commerce officers, and the list goes on. The Bank donated over $180,000 in donations and community support to those charities and projects important to the communities and its employees. The Bank has created an environment for the employees that encourages involvement and giving a helping hand.
