Sarah Van Huss rejoins Peoples Bank & Trust Consumer Banking Team

Pana, Ill. – June 11, 2026 – Peoples Bank & Trust is proud to announce that Sarah Van Huss has rejoined the bank as a Consumer Banking Officer. Based at the Taylorville branch, Van Huss will support the consumer banking department and work directly with customers in a bank-wide capacity, further strengthening Peoples Bank & Trust’s commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship banking.
Peoples Bank & Trust President and CEO John Gardner shared his enthusiasm regarding Van Huss’ return, stating, “We are excited to welcome Sarah back to the Peoples Bank & Trust family. Her extensive banking experience, leadership background and strong community ties make her an outstanding addition to our consumer banking team.” Gardner added, “Sarah’s knowledge and dedication to customer service will play an important role in supporting our customers and strengthening our consumer banking operations.”
In her new role, Van Huss will be based at the Taylorville branch and report directly to Jennifer Nagle while supporting the consumer banking department throughout the organization. This newly created role reflects the bank’s continued focus on enhancing customer support and delivering personalized financial solutions.
From 2013 through 2022, Van Huss served in several roles within the Peoples Bank & Trust consumer banking team, including Assistant Vice President of Consumer Banking in Taylorville. She returns to the newly created role of Consumer Banking Officer, and brings four years of additional banking experience with her. Van Huss is a 2022 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
A longtime Taylorville resident, Van Huss is actively involved in the community. She is a past school board member, past Chamber of Commerce board member and currently serves as an Elder at Davis Memorial Christian Church and is a part of the leadership team of their Celebrate Recovery program. She is also a CEO Mentor. Sarah and her three children, Ellie, Hagan and Olivia, reside in Taylorville.
