Peoples Bank donates to Waverly Food Pantry

Jeff Grimmett, AVP, Consumer Banking at Peoples Bank & Trust recently presented a check for $1000 to Ashley Sibert for the Waverly Food Pantry. In giving back to the community, Peoples Bank & Trust is committed to not only serving our customers, but also the communities it serves.

The Waverly Food Pantry has served the Waverly community since the 1980’s. The Waverly Food Pantry was established to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of the community. The Waverly Food Pantry is housed in the New Life Baptist Church at 341 East Elm. The food pantry relies on monetary and non-perishable food item donations to serve the community. Food Distribution is held on the third Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The food pantry is greatly supported by individuals, local organizations and local churches.

Ashley Sibert, said the food pantry is very grateful to receive this donation, which will benefit many families in the Waverly community.
